The past quarter has been a transitional quarter for us. It started with the loss of my complete Sales Team for varying reasons, but this has been an opportunity to build a better process, with better tools and look for better results moving forwards. We've put a lot of work into this, and it's great to get recognition for this by being awarded Best Overall Business by Action Coach Sheffield for Q3.
Over the past 3 months I've been working from scratch - with some outside help of course - reading lots of material. A nod to Andy Bounds and Marcus Sheridan in particular at this point. This has resulted in a completely refreshed Sales and Marketing process along with new systems to support them - which I've been trialling with myself as guinea pig in the Sales role!
I'm by no means a Sales Exec , but by simply following process, I've managed to outsell the company target, at a better price and with a shorter enquiry-close time than ever before. All this, working sales part-time at probably one day a week. I've been working to the KPI's we've generated, to help monitor where I need to focus to ensure I meet the goals
I'm now ready to bring on a new sales team and really crank it up.
The moral is simple - Get the right tools for the job, build a process that works, the right people and use good KPIs to ensure that it's delivered and the business works!
