Facebook are rebranding, a trending topic for anyone interested in shopping, gaming, streaming, sales or marketing. Some are criticizing the newly named Meta for their efforts to shrug off their PR blunders, some are just sour for the sake of it.
That being said, a lot of small companies who rebrand need to find ways to get word out about their new name or logo. Facebook didn’t, with it basing a whole campaign around it’s rebranding. We’ve been in talks with our current clients with motor dealerships already about their branding and marketing strategies as part of Be More Social Automotive Retailers, and we’ve found some pretty fun results in doing so.
With 90% of car shoppers wanting to have an online experience, you need to be able to utilise social media marketing and your dealer website’s SEO. Yes we can help with both of those, but ultimately for those to work you need to have a brand people can remember. Look at Cinch – they have a CIRCLE as their logo. Amazon? An arrow that became a smiley face. Nike? They’re a sports brand using a tick.
Look at your branding. Can you say by looking at it with no other knowledge your company exists a prospect would consider advocating your brand, discussing it or buying from it? It’s the icon that represents the whole business, alongside the cover photo which should act as a simple yet effective advertisement. Additionally, all those people visiting your website, leaving and forgetting you exist will start to remember who you are and return the next time they see your content.
I recently saw a dealer selling a beautiful car and when I tried to think of the dealer name all I knew is they had a black background with text – nothing to truly go by when searching in Google.
It’s 2021, and in the 21st century nobody can afford to start a business online without a logo reflecting their company. Within this logo you need to consider your shapes, fonts, message and colours. This is when you can start becoming something recognisable and building meaningful content.
We are now offering official DMS branding kits as add-ons to our automotive social media marketing services.
