This week is traditionally our end of year and Christmas week.
It started last Saturday, with our works Christmas party, which was a great even at the Magna Centre in Rotherham. It was good, after missing last year's event to get the whole team out to celebrate the year and look forward to the Christmas Period.
Then, on Thursday, we had our end of year full company meeting. This coincided with our monthly "Pizza Thursday" - brought forward for December.
This is a great opportunity for me to summarise the year just gone, and deliver a vision for the year coming.
This year's presentation was more than most. Firstly, it was a great opportunity for me to check out my "public speaking" skills after what seems forever in online meetings and presentations!
More importantly, it's an opportunity to celebrate the great work that our team has done - not only in 2021 - but right through when the world changed in March 2020.
Finally, we all go into 2022 with a renewed vision, continuing to push the boundaries and setting new targets for the coming year.
I hope I also had a few surprises for all, including an impromptu pay-rise for the whole team, and some extra benefits to add to our already extensive list.
I was also privileged to hand out several long service awards - many of our team are passing a decade or more working with us, and many more 5 years. I like to think myself as a keeper!
So, onto 2022. Still a couple more diaries for the year, but this is really where the year ends.
For all those who have followed my diary this year, may I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a best wishes for a successful 2022.
